Hailed as a “glorious, inspiring work” by the L.A. Times, Philip Glass’s 5th Symphony tells the creation story through the world’s great wisdom traditions. This celestial-sounding work was commissioned as a millennium celebration for the Salzburg Festival, and features a tour-de-force of musicians. Joining The Washington Chorus will be the Washington National Cathedral Girl Choristers, five internationally renowned vocal soloists, and full symphony orchestra.
