Do you want to help make the music happen? The Washington Chorus relies on you

our patrons, community members, and friends—to continue to bring the power and beauty of choral music to audiences new and old, and to nurture the next generation of choral singers and supporters. There are several ways you can play an important role in sustaining our concert programs and education/outreach initiatives:

The mission of the “Dianne Peterson Fund for Creative & Innovative Programming” is to enable the programming of works that are particularly ambitious in scope and, without special support, would be otherwise inaccessible. The Fund was created in honor of Executive Director Emerita Dianne Peterson, who—during her thirty years in its leadership—led the Chorus to become one of the region’s premier arts organizations and one of the nation’s largest budgeted choruses. It is our hope that you consider participating in this lasting tribute to honor Dianne and perpetuating the unique qualities of TWC, which she so tirelessly built up over her decades with the organization.

When you join the FRIENDS’ CIRCLE with a gift of up to $999, you help to meet the immediate needs of the Chorus and enjoy special recognition and opportunities throughout the season. Gifts can be made in easy automatic monthly installments.

As an outward expression of the dedication and commitment of our singers, staff, and Board of Trustees, TWC gives back! Our 200 singers have an internal giving percentage of over 90%, and 100% of our Board and staff support TWC financially. The Washington Chorus’ subscription concerts at the Kennedy Center and Music Center at Strathmore—together with various fundraising events such as the Annual Gala Auction Benefit and the Embassy Benefit—offer valuable sponsorship opportunities for corporations, foundations, or individuals. TWC works with its underwriting partners to offer a wide range of benefits and to tailor sponsorships to suit the needs and requirements of each partner.

Celebrating our programs and initiatives with patrons is an essential part of annual fund development for the Chorus. Please visit our Embassy Benefit, and Barn Dance pages to learn more about these festive events or peruse photos from past events.
